So I found a coffee. **Trumpets Blare** And it was pretty good. It was spine-tinglingly adequate. It was in a cafe on a stretch of what appeared to be very good coffee-shops in Kreuzberg 61.
…
For those who don’t know, there are two Kreuzbergs: 61 & 36. To provide a home-town analogy, 36 is like Newtown, pre-gentrifation and on steroids, and 61 is like Newtown, post-gentrification. Which Kreuzberg one feels most comfortable in says a lot about one’s personality.
36 or 61? While 61 appears to have the coffee, 36 has all this really great graffiti everywhere – fantastic graffiti.

I think I’m a 36-er, but the lack of credible coffee does taint the possibility of living there for an extended period of time. Also, the incredible thing about Kreuzberg is that it is very very very cheap! A one bedroom apartment cost between 300 and 400 euros a month ….! That’s like between AUD$125 and AUD$175 a week, for a one-bedroom apartment!!
